Hello, I'm Paul Smith. For many years, my life was dedicated to caring for others as an ICU registered nurse. It was a career that I loved, but it also left its mark. I had to retire early after developing PTSD, a condition that has been a significant challenge in my life. In the search for healing, I found an unexpected lifeline: writing.
Putting words on a page each day isn't just a job for me; it's a form of therapy. It’s how I navigate the world and process my experiences. I feel incredibly blessed to work with publishers who understand and support my journey, and I'm passionate about creating stories that resonate with readers across the age spectrum, whether they are thrilling adult thrillers or charming children's books. When I'm not writing, you can usually find me with my wonderful Yorkshire Terrier, Lily. And yes, all my Paul Smith books are written by hand—my left hand, to be exact.
Page Turner Books Inc. is a wonderful traditional publisher based in the United States and is my primary publisher along with their imprint Fabled & Bound. The staff are professional and very diligent. They have truly gone above and beyond when it comes to accommodating my disability of PTSD.
Fabled & Bound is the imprint of Page Turner Books Inc. They do fantastic work and once again have been very accommodating of my disability. I can't say enough good things about Fabled & Bound or Page Turner Books Inc.
The Book Social is a traditional UK publisher and helped me a great deal with The Women of Ravensbruck. I am eternally grateful for their work and skill.
Solstice Publishing took a chance on me when I was first starting out. They are a e-publisher and sales are primarily through Amazon. Great for an author just starting out. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and approachable.
